Re: Battlefield 3 - scar11 - 09-29-2011 I might be retarded (I'm pretty sure I am actually) but I seem to be missing the point of launching through a web browser if they make me get the game through Origin... Re: Battlefield 3 - Versus - 09-29-2011 Re: Battlefield 3 - zaneyard - 09-29-2011 fun so far aside from the glitches a few things need to be fixed not being able to join certain squads not being able to change options while dead the flashlight blinding me from a half a mile away browser server browser Re: Battlefield 3 - Goffin - 09-29-2011 Goffin Re: Battlefield 3 - Versus - 09-29-2011 feels like the bad parts of bc2, amplified. That one's a huge open conquest map which feels much more like battlefield. It's most likely going to be released to everyone later on (it's only on passworded protected servers right now). No idea why they wanted to start off off the beta with a infiltry only map. Re: Battlefield 3 - Maxon - 09-29-2011 Mostly just to work out the changes they did to it from what I hear. Caspian will be amazing when/if they open it up to the public. Shotgun is my new favorite thing. There's alot of shotgun shell variety now. The default is buckshot which is the best up close, but doesn't have the range. Flechette goes through stuff better and I think has abit more distance to it. Explosive is more about suppression and spraying I believe. Then there is slug, which behaves like it did in BC2, but no long distance sniping with it. You can still hit pretty far with it, especially with like the ACOG on it, or the 6x scope, which looks ridiculous on the shotgun lol So, you still can kinda snipe with the shotguns, but it's not nearly as overpowered, though up close, they are devastating. I can't wait to use the semi-auto DAO-12. Also there is only one regular rocket launcher. Technically two if you count that each side has a unique one, but the other two you can unlock look to be for attacking choppers and jets only. Perhaps one could be vehicle lock, but can't test that obviously. Re: Battlefield 3 - Moosendoo - 09-29-2011 Caspian border is awesome shoppingcartsareagoodride Re: Battlefield 3 - backfire - 09-30-2011 Caspian Border's going public on Friday Re: Battlefield 3 - backfire - 09-30-2011 Managed to get on to a Caspian Border server and play for about 20 minutes before it crashed. It's waay better than Metro, but unless you have a beast rig, this thing'll tear it apart. I machine that can run Crysis 2 on High-Very High on 40fps will only run this on low at about 20. Time to start saving up for a new computer I guess... Edit: Granted, "low" still looks like most game's "high". Re: Battlefield 3 - Moosendoo - 09-30-2011 I was playing Caspian Border for quite a while last night and I was getting 40-50 fps on my laptop.  1600x900, no AA or that other fancy feature at the bottom, high textures, low shadows, everything else medium. Do you have the latest graphic drivers? Re: Battlefield 3 - Maxon - 09-30-2011 I can play the game on like medium, maybe high, but I got it on low now and it actually looks pretty good lol Sure, not ultra good, but I'm not super picky on how the game looks in particular, as long as it plays smooth, which it does. Means I won't have to worry about updating my system this year to play it. Re: Battlefield 3 - Versus - 09-30-2011 guess i'll have to try caspian border Re: Battlefield 3 - Maxon - 09-30-2011 I knew Caspian would be open to the public, but now I'm not seeing a single Caspian Border server.  Where are they hiding? D: *EDIT* Nope, it's been confirmed false that Caspian Border is open to the public today. Doesn't mean it won't, but not yet. Finally a challenge to test my beast of a box.  don't let me down betsy. |
