I at least understand that XKCD isn't Penny-Arcade or Explosm, with a gag in every strip.
is that not what he was doing (i looked at 2 pages) i guess what i meant is he should stick to one thing, it's disconcerting to have him write a comic to laugh at one day and a diagram to look at the other, which is a common issue for webcomic artists Re: Neat stuff (non-lulz but interesting things) - CaffeinePowered - 01-07-2010 (01-07-2010, 03:13 PM)diggs link Wrote:
Have you ever read Rice Boy and its on-going brother Order of Tales? http://www.rice-boy.com/order/ Here, when you finish that, go ahead and say he should throw in the towel and just draw pretty pictures instead.
yeah, thats a huge issue for me too, if you end up having to change your priorities due to whatever, just tell your audience that, no one's going to blame you Re: Neat stuff (non-lulz but interesting things) - Surf314 - 01-07-2010 For Dresden Codak I wait: Re: Neat stuff (non-lulz but interesting things) - Surf314 - 01-08-2010 http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/30622506/ Brian Williams has good taste. In fact its practically "a little bit of everything" comic, from philosophical issues to mathematical ones. But what I really see here is that you essentially demand that they mostly update consistently on a schedule, and then produce work that you deem is "in genre", because fuck them if they decide they want to do something they want once in a while. Go back to reading shit you pay for. Re: Neat stuff (non-lulz but interesting things) - A. Crow - 01-09-2010 Amazing Technology.... In fact I'm kinda curious how Krugman got such a higher level of commenters on his article? |
