Re: The Going Back to School Thread - Moosendoo - 08-26-2011

Starting graduate school next week (orientation was this week).  With being a GTA I think I'm actually going to have negative hours of free time this year. :-X

Re: The Going Back to School Thread - Luinbariel - 08-26-2011

I graduated at 17, as did several of my classmates.

HeK also graduated at 17, and then was in college at 17 as well.

So, one of my teachers is obese, one of my teachers looks just like caff, and one of my teachers has a sailor mouth.

sailor mouth teachers are the best. Always more relaxed and more lenient about grading.

Fat teachers are the best.  Buy them a cake for a free A.

Re: The Going Back to School Thread - The Generic Name - 08-29-2011

I move back into my dorm Thursday.  Prolly wont be playing a lot of games after that.

Re: The Going Back to School Thread - KarthXLR - 01-23-2012

Figured I should bump this. New semester, new classes! This time I get to take:

The next beating of that english class I struggled with
Communications
A four-hour film class

Re: The Going Back to School Thread - Dtrain323i - 01-23-2012

all my teachers swear. They're all firefighters too. Also, I have to get my EMT license as part of my program.

Re: The Going Back to School Thread - kaese - 01-23-2012

This semester I'm taking -biochem -biochem:virology -women's health -environmental studies -microbiology
Lucky for me, biochem and women's health are right after each other and in the same lecture hall. Too bad it's in a building I've only been in once, and that was for a final exam 3 years ago.

If you're in college, and can't read a campus map, you're fired.

Re: The Going Back to School Thread - Vlambo - 01-23-2012

I've got 5 courses this semester.
Intro to Computation and Algorithms (THEORY)
Software Methodology (Learn to work well with others)
Network Computing with Web Applications (Interesting but hard)
Computer Architecture (Boolean Logic and Circuits and shit)
Psychology 1000 (For a laugh)

So far most of my teachers speak English. I'm being taught by a blind indian cyber-monk in one class.

Re: The Going Back to School Thread - Eightball - 01-23-2012

Endocrinology (teacher seems nice but borderline incompetent)
Biology of Aging (teacher is an old guy who cracks a lot of jokes, but the material isn't clearly defined)
Principles of Biochem (85% of grade is determined by a quiz every single lecture)
Physics (lol)

Re: The Going Back to School Thread - kaese - 01-23-2012

I just got done with biochem, there are 500 people enrolled in this class but there are only 480 seats in the room.

Someone is getting ready to fight HeK for the "Most Dangerous Canadian" title.

I'm planning on graduating at the end of the year, so I started working on my senior level classes this semester so I'm taking

Principles of Literary Critiscm (This is the last class for my English minor, cause I like reading and talking about books.)
A couple of classes that I need to take to get an honors degree and keep my sweet sweet honors scholarship coming in.
Intro to Distributed Systems (Learning how to make computers talk to each other over the interwebs, seems fun but intense)
Database Systems (Sort of blah, but it should be easy and useful to know)

Re: The Going Back to School Thread - KarthXLR - 01-13-2013

hhhnnnnnngggg I really don't want to do it this semester.
