TF2 Crashes - Sponson - 06-02-2009 I have 2 monitors, and LG and a Samsung. The Samsung was my primary until I made the LG my primary for work space purposes. TF2 worked before. Now when I start TF2, it shows the valve logo little movie, and then quits, no crash error, no nothing, just gone. What does switching primary monitors have to do with playing tf2, I dunno, but I need a solution that does not involve me switching back. Edit: Man, how did this get here, could someone move it to the right place? Re: TF2 Crashes - Fail Medic - 06-02-2009 I get strange behavior on mine. I'm running Vista, two Samsungs (24", 19") on ATI Radeon. If I run TF2 full screen, it's like it keeps switching resolutions and keeps wanting to show the desktop and then the full-screen game and then the desktop. I've had to stay running in a window. I prefer it that way, but I know I'd get better performance if I run full screen, but i can't if it's going to do that shit. Re: TF2 Crashes - Sponson - 06-02-2009 Just found out: By switching primary monitors (one 1440 x 900 and the samsung 1600 x 900), tf2 (originally on the samsung) is now on the smaller LE, and crashes, instead of fixing the goddamned resolution. Re: TF2 Crashes - copulatingduck - 06-02-2009 switch the monitor cables when you reboot Re: TF2 Crashes - at0m - 06-03-2009 or just delete your config.cfg to force defaults and reset your resolution and other stuff next time you start TF2 Re: TF2 Crashes - [fr31ns]Karrde - 06-03-2009 (06-03-2009, 12:07 AM)at0m link Wrote: or just delete your config.cfg to force defaults and reset your resolution and other stuff next time you start TF2 run the command line -autoconfig instead. |
