Ghostbusters: The Video Game - KarthXLR - 06-18-2009

Thinking about getting this soon. I heard the game was really good. Any opinions?

Re: Ghostbusters: The Video Game - Badgerman of DOOM - 06-18-2009

I'm debating over whether to get it for Wii or PC.

Re: Ghostbusters: The Video Game - Squishy3 - 06-18-2009

PC would be my choice. Cheaper too.

Rented it today at Blockbuster, it's enjoyable so far. At the Stay Puft marshmallow man part. (it's the 2nd level so no spoilers)

WEll, as long as you have a Core 2 Duo or better, a graphics card with at least 512 mb of memory, and 9 gigs of ram.

Ghostbusters is freaking DEMANDING.

Re: Ghostbusters: The Video Game - Badgerman of DOOM - 06-18-2009

I have 1 gig of RAM, but meet all other specs.
Also, the 9GB is of free space.
Edit- oh man, what the fuck. I don't have a good enough graphics card. This is demaning. Fuck it, I'm getting it for Wii.

Welcome to the requirements for EVERY SINGLE CONSOLE GAME PORTED TO PC.  That's really not surprising in the slightest.

A lot of games don't require a 512 mb card.  :-\

Usually it seems to be the other way around. Console games ported to the PC seem to have low ass requirements on everything except for harddrive space, which developers abuse the Hell out of now with them fancy blu-rayz holdin' so much data. They said "fuck it" to being smart about space.

Re: Ghostbusters: The Video Game - Squishy3 - 06-18-2009

I like that apparently the retail version is 9GB, when I checked to see if the demonoid version was up yet and it's only 6 gigs. Something's fishy there.

It's 9. Even steam says so.

Really? What ports have low-ass requirements?

Cuz Braid, Stranglehold, Fallout 3, and GTA4 all had stupidly high requirements, and I can't think of any ports that were low (though I can't really think of that many ports tbh). That said, the ghostbusters reqs really aren't that bad, they support all the way down to the 8400 ffs. If you bought a card recently that only had 256MB of VRAM that was just dumb on your part :\

Bolded for answering your own question.

Cracked versions often have lower quality videos and shit cut out to lower size. Also, half of them are just sprcompressed installers and install to the same size.

Re: Ghostbusters: The Video Game - Riosan - 06-19-2009

will probably rent for the 360, pc probably won't rent the requirements, and i'm too lazy to wait for this torrent to download

Re: Ghostbusters: The Video Game - Squishy3 - 06-19-2009

Finished it. Damn awesome game.

Re: Ghostbusters: The Video Game - KarthXLR - 06-20-2009

Ok, I love this game. My only problem with it is the fact that it pulls some really cheap tricks sometimes. I just got into a graveyard where 4-5 ghosts popped up, kept shooting projectiles at me, while animators attacked my stupid CPU (by the way, the friendly AI is pretty bad), and I ended just falling, getting revived, reviving my partner, attempting to capture a ghost, and falling again just to start the cycle all over again. This went on for about 10-15 minutes.

I ragequitted.

Re: Ghostbusters: The Video Game - Blues - 07-03-2009

Game is fuckawesome, but yeah the AI is pretty terribad. I swear I read something about multiplayer/co-op for this, what the fuck happened to that?

Never mind, I just read that the PC version doesn't have it but consoles do. RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGE
