Devil survivor - Wyrmidon - 06-26-2009
Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor
Got the game today and it is fun. It's a strategy RPG with the go around randomly and talk to your teammates kinda thing that persona has.
I haven't gotten far yet but, so far its all been good.
Anyone else have it/hear of it?

from what I've played yes, but I have yet to get into any real combat/story so it is just my first idea on it.

Hmm, I'm torn between my love of the SMT series and my fear of strategy rpgs. Probably will pass this one up, which pains me sense I think the world and story look awesome, but I know deep down that I'd be inept at it like every other similar games I've tried
. At least I've still got Persona 1 coming to fulfill my portable Megaten needs

now that i have played it a good while, i must say that i am impressed with the game. It is challenging, but has a decent learning curve. The story so far has been good, the battle system works very well, and the menu's are not confusing, without give up any depth. The artwork is good, but not the best imo(i prefer the artwork from castlevania a lot more. But this is kinda comparing apples to oranges)
My only problem with the game is that I would have appreciated it if the battles had animation (same problem i have with a lot of the Shin megami tensei series.)
Not a problem but could be for some: battles tend to take awhile.
My rating is 4/5
I recommend this to everyone, unless you hate both RPG and Strategy games.

Yeah, gonna get this now. I need a new portable RPG after I finish this playthrough of FF7 (which should be soon! About to start Disk 3 :3) and from what I hear, it's even got a mini s-linkesque system, which I would love, now that I''m done with Persona 4.

played this game for several hours and it owns. I haven't lost yet, but damn I've gotten ridiculously close. Also I named my character Seta Souji with the nickname Minato. ;D

I just did the battle fighting the Yakuza who were searching for COMPs. kicked their butts and cracked all the good skills from them.

also, I started playing Jump Ultimate Stars, there's a version of it with most of the important text translated. using SSJ goku and SSJ2 gohan
