Oldschool gamers...help a brutha out - MrGrey - 09-24-2009

i am trying to find a game for the NES and I dont remember the name... I will try to describe it to the best of my ability. 

It had a dude who looked like Link from the legend of zelda and he would go around all these different mazes and puzzles and collect Keys and those keys opened doors to the next level.  Thats all i remember about it... and no its not Little Nemo I'm thinking of. 

There was also an arcade game that was similar to this where you can choose different characters and go around the mazes and puzzles and collect keys to go up and down the staircases and shit.  Did they ever make that for NES? anyone know that one as well?  Any help will be appreciated.

me and nitrous played the gauntlet remake or whatever and it was pretty decent.

there was 1 on the 64, I played the shit out of and even had to buy 2 memory to store all my characters, way back in the day i uploaded 5 lvl80-ish characters online cuz i was a raper

Which was that? And the PS2 one depends on the one you talk about. Dark Legacy is good fun, Seven Sorrows... not so much.
