Paintball - zaneyard - 10-11-2009

Does anyone else play it here?
We just went out for the first time in forever and it was a blast. What markers do you all use?
I'm using a Tippmann 98 Custom, but if we get back into it I might get an A-5 in the spring.

Re: Paintball - KarthXLR - 10-11-2009

Went Paintballing once, didn't really enjoy it.

Re: Paintball - CaffeinePowered - 10-11-2009

I used to go a lot when I was younger, never bothered buying my own though, would just use the field's rental guns

Where though? Speedball is a totally different animal than woodsball, you may enjoy one but not the other.

Re: Paintball - HeK - 10-11-2009

Used to play am-tourny airball and xball.

I have  a '02 autococker with a bunch of Dye lightweight stuff...

I also have a fully custom 03 Matrix fed by a HaloB with a custom control board. I bought a brand new SmartParts HPA reg for it the year before I stopped playing.

Re: Paintball - Eschatos - 10-11-2009

I love paintball, but I'm too poor to buy a gun, so I always rent one.  Unfortunately only speedball is played near where I live, so I have to live with my dads old stories of how awesome real paintball was when you had massive playing fields and single shot guns.

I used to for a few years.  Then school intervened.  Love my Tipmann custom 98.  Best marker for the money if you don't wanna go nuts.  I dunno if the thing even works now though :\

mine works after all these years of sitting, albeit a small amount of maintenance needed to be done.
like i said i was looking at the Tippmann A-5 if we get back into it alot

the reason I had to stop playing was that we had nowhere to play :'(

Re: Paintball - A. Crow - 10-12-2009

There is something called simunitions, and they hurt like hell.  They also beat the hell out of all the paintballing I've ever done Tongue

Re: Paintball - Luinbariel - 10-12-2009

Someone buy HeK's paintball stuff.

Please.

Re: Paintball - Professor Funbucks - 10-12-2009

I've got a Tippman A-5 with a 16 inch carbon fiber barrel (quietest and lightest thing ever), I play woodsball, and I use the less shots out of my entire group of friends..I shoot once or twice a round and get a kill or two.

Re: Paintball - Surf314 - 10-12-2009

I used to have a spyder and sold it. We went to some fields around where I grew up that were just huge places out in the woods they'd build wooden forts and put in trailers and huts and stuff. I think we enjoyed it because the field was so awesome more than because the game was super awesome. They had 24 hour war games out there too and they even made paint tanks out of some old trucks and other stuff. We had a lot of ex-special forces guys that went too and they made their own camo and everything. My first experience was playing at night vs. ex-special forces with night vision equipment.

It was pretty hardcore.

I have a pair of titanium barrels, they are paper thin and weigh something like 180g each.
They also shoot sparks if you get a bit of sand in your loader.

I think the reason I like paintball is because I might actually enjoy the real life military like it was a game.
Maybe it's all these years of gaming that have corrupted my mind, but I look at military situations and tactics in an enjoyable manner.

Re: Paintball - Badgerman of DOOM - 10-12-2009

There's a place opening up about 5 minute's walk away from me. My little brother goes paintballing so he's excited as fuck, and I may either A) try it, B) get a job there or C) both.
