Civ 4 - douchetoevsky - 10-14-2009

Just got the complete pack on Steam. Any suggestions on how to play, or which version to start on? What a are some good mods/maps that I should download? This is my first Civ game, but I'd be willing to try multiplayer with anyone after I finish a single player game or two.

There's really no reason to not just play the game with both expansions.  There's also no real reason to play the game multiplayer.

i always played economic/growth in the beginning, though it's probably easier to go offensive

multiplayer is complete shit, if you've ever played the avalon hill boardgame, imagine that with almost no human interaction and just as long

i have the base game and tried multiplayer a few times, was extremely laggy and slow Sad

multiplayer is a lot better with play by email.

Yeah, just go ahead and dive right in with both expansions.  They add a lot to the game, and there's no reason not to include them.
