FNF - 8/8/2008 - End of Custom Experiment - CaffeinePowered - 08-08-2008

Ill be changing the rotation back tomorrow unless people want it to stay this way. I think a lot of maps that otherwise didn't get a lot of face time got some runs in, rather than the same old crap of playing Dbowl/GRush/Dbowl again. If you want it to stay like this or you absolutely hate it, sound off.

cp_caveman_b1 - This is a complete craps shoot, it could be good, it could suck horribly, not going to look at it until tonight, because thats half the fun

Just a reminder, this was the rotation we've had on #1 all week

cp_freight_b3

dom_canalzone_b3

Custom maps work on #1. The generic more common maps work on #2. I could get used to the current set-up quite easily. But for the love of god take Mach 4 out of it. I'm so incredibly sick of that map. Definitely keep impact 2 and Aqua.

As far as the custom rotation goes I'm completely for it. I played all week and didn't really notice a significant population loss, and new maps to play seemed like a well overdue change. I agree with customs #1, generics #2.

You have to leave at least one or two popular customs on there to thin out the scrubs

I'd say keep. I like the stock maps, but there are plenty of places I can go to play them (#2 and #3 for example). Smile

I will say that half the server starts crying whenever Roswell or Geothermal or Aqua come on so it might not be a bad idea to can those. Although I like them personally.

I like the custom map rotation. I say keep it. Also, im not sure if i can make it to FNF. I'm going to be at a metal concert in detroit all weekend so i have to get ready for it today. I'll try to make it though.  Smile

I like a place to go and play customs (on a regular basis). And I know when I need a break from them I can just go to server #2... I like the setup we have now.

But yeah, ease up on Mach4. It's quickly becoming overplayed.

I'd like to see a couple of stock maps in there, perhaps cp_dustbowl and cp_well...then I think I'd be pretty happy with it.

Don't take Chaos away, it's a nice ctf map, and great if there aren't a lot of people online
