Mass Effect - Luca Shoal - 11-12-2009 I bought it when it was on sale. Fuck rocket troops/drones of any sort forever. And fuck Thresher Maws that pop up RIGHT UNDER YOU. Other than that. It is a good game. Fuck rocket troops tho (first play through as a Vanguard/Shock Trooper, will do Soldier next probably) Re: Mass Effect - CaffeinePowered - 11-12-2009 ME was a good game, two huge improvements it could have had though....driving mechanics, and not using the same 4 interior layouts for all the side quests Re: Mass Effect - Eschatos - 11-12-2009 Very much looking forward to Mass Effect 2. Re: Mass Effect - Turtle - 11-12-2009 played it with a friend on his 360. Doesn't really appeal to me, thought it to be a little boring/pissed me off Re: Mass Effect - [fr31ns]Karrde - 11-12-2009 Got it for 10 bucks, wish the graphics were more scaleable, still runs surprisingly well on my laptop Re: Mass Effect - Bonesinger - 11-12-2009 I love the first one, I'm on my third play through on with a Sentinel on Hardcore. It's stupidly hard Can't wait for Mass Effect 2. Not sure if I should get it on PC or 360 though. Re: Mass Effect - Luca Shoal - 11-13-2009 I will continue Manny Shepard on the PC when it comes to that point . Tali & Wrex are the best buddies to have. Especially when they fight in the elevator. Re: Mass Effect - Tricks - 12-01-2009 If you have Mass Effect for the PC, and you get ME2 for the PC as well, you can load your save file from the first game into the second game and it will impact the story. *SPOILER IF YOU HAVE NOT PLAYED THROUGH ME1* Quote:Save File Transfer Re: Mass Effect - copulatingduck - 12-01-2009 sold my 360 copy, forgot all about the importing when it went on sale, so unless you can copy-paste other people's save files I guess I'll miss out on all the bonuses Re: Mass Effect - CaffeinePowered - 12-01-2009 Well I guess I'll have to pick up a 360 copy...unless someone knows how to gank the save file off of it Re: Mass Effect - Eschatos - 12-01-2009 (12-01-2009, 10:28 AM)Tricks link Wrote: If you have Mass Effect for the PC, and you get ME2 for the PC as well, you can load your save file from the first game into the second game and it will impact the story. The problem with this is that I reformatted after I finished Mass Effect and didn't think to copy the save file. There should be an option to just select which choices you picked. I really don't want to have to replay the game creating the exact same character just to have someone I like for the next game.
I don't believe it is exactly that. I believe there is going to be a "standard" option for normal gameplay for new users (or those who have reformated in your example). The standard could be that you spare Ashley for example, but end Wrex on Virmire. If anything, importing the game file is only going to open different dialogue options that may not exist in the standard setting for the game. If it really bothers you, the game shouldn't take more than 30 hours at most for another replay? I'm doing that right now, it's not exactly chore to hang out with an old friend. I have it on the 360 and bought it again for $10 dollars from Steam. Re: Mass Effect - Versus - 12-01-2009 I am kinda thinking of getting it for PC just to play through it again, since the 360 pretty much belongs to my brother now Re: Mass Effect - Tricks - 12-01-2009 (12-01-2009, 03:48 PM)Versus-pwny- link Wrote: I am kinda thinking of getting it for PC just to play through it again, since the 360 pretty much belongs to my brother now I would say it is worth it. Changing your playstyle from "good" to "evil" can really change your approach to different missions. Think about the mission where you can choose to use harmless gas grenades on the temporarily crazed colonists, or just gun your way through. Taking the Paragon approach the game is much more challenging, and really changes a lot of dialogue in a major way. Re-playability aside, even Bioware admitted that the PC version is far and away the superior version. If you remember, the PC version came out several months later than the xbox360 version and a lot of bugs and functionality were changed for the PC edition. If you can find it for $20 or less, I think it is really worth the money particularly if you haven't played it before.
Id do this, but I'm far too lazy to rebuy it and replay it not once, but twice : Especially when I have lots of other things waiting in queue to be completed Re: Mass Effect - Squishy3 - 12-01-2009 (12-01-2009, 03:48 PM)Versus-pwny- link Wrote: I am kinda thinking of getting it for PC just to play through it again, since the 360 pretty much belongs to my brother nowapparently just recently there was a 1 day sale for it on D2D for $5 Re: Mass Effect - Versus - 12-01-2009 I've already played through it at least two or three times, just to unlock the harder difficulty levels, but that was like two years ago. Re: Mass Effect - Tricks - 12-10-2009 http://kotaku.com/5423288/mass-effect-2-is-full-of-stars Wow. That is a LOT of voice talent. Re: Mass Effect - BS1 - 12-11-2009 Can't wait for Mass Effect 2, Mass Effect is one of my favorite games. I bought it for Xbox 360 first, but plan on buying it on Steam when it goes on sale again. I have played it about seven times on the Xbox 360 already. ;D |
