Does grape jelly really have no nutritional value? - KorJax - 12-15-2009

So I posted this on another forum only to get flamed at for not making a "super srs thread"  So here we go here:

Look at the nutrition facts for grape jelly. Despite using CONCORD GRAPE JUICE as a major ingrediant the nutrition facts list basically no nutritional value beyond sugars and carbs.

Why is this? I thought grapes are good for you Sad

This is a mystery I must uncover.

If it's really made of grapes, it should have at least some vitamins.

Otherwise... yeah, grapes are 95% water and carbohydrates.




Which is good, but you should not eat more than 10 portions of fruit / day.

It might not have nutritional value, but grape jelly makes an excellent lubricant.

It probably has no grapes in it.  Just like M&Ms don't have chocolate in them anymore.

Does it specifically say "grapes?"  Or does it say "grape flavoring?"
