Question about Ram slots - Vlambo - 03-13-2010 So, about 16 months ago, I built my first rig. Well it's starting to show its age a bit, so I believe it's time for an upgrade in RAM. I want 4+ GB of ram, but my motherboard (ASUS P5Q-PRO) has 4 slots, 2 of which are yellow, and the other 2 are brown. So here is my question, Can I use all 4 slots or only 2? Re: Question about Ram slots - zaneyard - 03-13-2010 why would it have four slots if you can only use two? Not in an 'RTFM' way, but in a 'teach a man to fish' way. Re: Question about Ram slots - Vlambo - 03-13-2010 I did that HeK, but just couldn't really find it in the manual. Also, I am buying this http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231122 This will be used with my 2GB of Mushkin ram, to put me at 6 GB |
