Think I might pick up this game today, sounds awesome and the type of game both me and my wife enjoy, always a plus. Who else has this and wants to meet up for online play action?

Splitscreen Coop is only for arena mode apparently. But I do love monster hunter so I will be "picking it up" regardless.

monsterhunter.wikia.com it's not complte yet, but should answer most of your questions. Stuff like combinations should be similar to MHFU.
Basic combinations you need to know:
Herb + Blue Mushroom = Potion
Potion + Honey = Mega Potion
um that's all I can remember right now, but once I remember more stuff I'll post it

What weapons are you all using? Right now I'm trying out Bowguns and Lances. I might switch to the axe when I get it, but I dunno.

Finished almost all the level 1 quests and upgraded my knife to a hunter knife.

I like switchaxes a lot. They're pretty strong, but way faster than a GS. And in sword mode you can do a multistab explosion finisher thing.
Online is kinda wonky for me and I get errors on half the games I join though D:
