Well, My Friend's Dad Screwed Up - HeK, HALP! - [fr31ns]Karrde - 06-06-2010 Ok, so he managed to pick up a virus. Chances are it's on the comp I think it is. Could be on 2 others but I don't have access. MS Security essentials and Housecall have both come up with nothing on this comp. Ideas? Re: Well, My Friend's Dad Screwed Up - HeK, HALP! - HeK - 06-06-2010 Try every scanner you can think of? Reinstall? Personally I swoop through the registry, looking for start-up services that shouldn't be there. I also look for things hiding in the default shell and the .exe extension association. You can try these additional anti-virus scanners: G DATA Avira AntiVir BitDefender Antivirus Re: Well, My Friend's Dad Screwed Up - HeK, HALP! - [fr31ns]Karrde - 06-06-2010 Thanks.
