BRB Movie Nights reboot thread - KarthXLR - 06-15-2010
Ok, back by popular demand, BRB Movie Nights are live and kicking again! But this time around, I've made a few changes that I hope you guys enjoy.
First off, I'm really trying to make this more like Mystery Science Theater 3000, in that there is not a room of 15 people yelling over each other, trying to each say their own joke, but rather 3 or 4 people either nominated or hand picked each week to...oh say "Riff" or "Heckle" the movie professionally. Preferably, I'd want these people to have watched the film previously, or just be prepared to improv it. The riffers shouldn't host it do to difficulty of using a mic and streaming at the same time. I am prepared to stream almost every week.
Next change is concerning the dates we plan for these. Now, weekends here at BRB,U are sometimes hectic, and we all usually have things planned, not to mention BRB's weekly schedule. FNF is a reason why I'd prefer not to have it on Friday. But that's why I don't want these Movie Nights to have a weekday assigned to Movie Nights, it gives it more freedom to be planned any day of the weekend depending on everyone's plans.. Hopefully, we'll never have to schedule other than Saturday.
My third change is for Movie Nights to be every other week. If there's one thing I learned last year it's that the weekly schedule was pure chaos. Gave almost no time to get the new movie prepared, a host to stream it, and enough time to test it. So I'm going to attempt to make it bi-weekly for more convenience.
Otherwise, movies will be nominated the same way they were last year, in a separate thread, hosts may switch occasionally, and I might not always be making the posts. But otherwise, I hope you all give me some feedback on this so I can determine when we start this thing.Â

I like this "Every Other Week" business. Looking forward to this happening. My schedule is sort of in flux right now, so I couldn't say which days are great for me just yet. However, I work every weekday until 7pm EST, so I'd prefer it to start later than that.
