Anyone use a desktop mic? - zaneyard - 08-21-2010 I love my gamecomm from plantronics but they made the plastic too rigid and it snaps every other time you have to take it off your head so instead of returning it to them for a replacement, i'm thinking of using my sony studio monitor that i don't use and just get a desktop mic to go along with that anyone have any brand recommendations? Re: Anyone use a desktop mic? - Versus - 08-21-2010 my logitech desk mic is pretty good Re: Anyone use a desktop mic? - zaneyard - 08-22-2010 is it usb? and does it really matter if it's USB? Re: Anyone use a desktop mic? - Mission Difficult - 08-22-2010 An analog one is probably a better bet. And if you're using it with speakers in any source games, use a mute script. Re: Anyone use a desktop mic? - Versus - 08-22-2010 mine's usb Re: Anyone use a desktop mic? - CaffeinePowered - 08-22-2010 I use this Re: Anyone use a desktop mic? - zaneyard - 08-22-2010 (08-22-2010, 12:25 AM)Mission Difficult link Wrote: An analog one is probably a better bet. I'm still deciding on what i want to do at this point as i'm pretty sure i can send my old headset back to plantronics again and get a new one. old headset was a bit more comfortable too... i bought that mic you linked caff, my plantronics is out of warranty i think Re: Anyone use a desktop mic? - at0m - 08-22-2010 I used to use an array mic like Caff's, but use a headset now. If your soundcard supports it I can just send you mine. Re: Anyone use a desktop mic? - at0m - 08-23-2010 your mobo/soundcard has to support stereo array mics for it to work, but most do now afaik so you're probably fine.
