SLI Black Flickering - Eightball - 10-07-2010 Okay, so I've been having this problem for a while now, and only just recently realized it had to do with SLI. Originally, in some of the games that I play, I would experience some black flickering with SLI enabled. I still get it in L4D2 and TF2 with certain shadows, and I had it all the time in APB. Recently I've also noticed it happening with simple applications like the windows default photo viewer, and in certain java apps. Everything just flickers black wildly, sometimes responding to when I highlight or select something. Yes, I'm up to date on my drivers (fucking nVidia hasn't updated them since July). Anyone have any idea what might be causing this? Do I just have a bad card? EDIT: Most games are fine with SLI. MW2, Global Agenda, etc all handle it perfectly. Just some games and applications have this problem, and since nHancer doesn't work for me, I'm kinda fucked into changing it manually every so often. Re: SLI Black Flickering - CaffeinePowered - 10-07-2010 Sounds like a driver issue....are you using multiple displays as well? Does it happen in both fullscreen and windowed? Have you tried a set of beta drivers? Re: SLI Black Flickering - Eightball - 10-07-2010 Nope, single-display. I haven't tested video games in windowed/fullscreen, but I'm confident it'll happen there too. After all, it's happening with Microsoft Fax and Photo Viewer. I haven't tried beta drivers, though people have posted on various forums that specific older releases will solve problems for specific games. Re: SLI Black Flickering - Spore - 10-07-2010 Lol, what idiot recommended that you go SLI? Also, may as well try beta. http://www.nvidia.com/object/win7-winvista-64bit-260.63-beta-driver.html |
