No Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood Thread? - [fr31ns]Karrde - 11-18-2010 Enjoying it so far. Basically like adding one more huge town to ACII. It really hasn't done anything too different from ACII so far, other than some fun game mechanics like kill streaks. But then again, I really like ACII, so I'm ok with this  Multiplayer has some problems though. They need to do something about the player having the ability to be more or less totally disguised if they find a group of the same models together. From what I can tell you're forced to take a guess at which one your target is, you can't really move on without making a decision, and there's negative consequences for killing civilians. Re: No Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood Thread? - Greatbacon - 11-18-2010 Still waiting for the PeeSea release... Re: No Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood Thread? - Vongore - 11-18-2010 Played it on PS3 at a friends, game ran like crap. Had a lot of slowdowns, and was just like ACII with sparkles. Re: No Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood Thread? - [fr31ns]Karrde - 11-18-2010 Yeah they did try to push the pretty a bit much for the engine. Or maybe it's the current gen of consoles that's holding it up. Still, it's a fun game, and I haven't had many problems on the whole. Almost seems like they cleaned up some of the free running detection problems from ACII. Re: No Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood Thread? - Spore - 11-18-2010 Does anybody know if Ubisoft is still hurping and durping around with their always online DRM? Enjoying it so far, aside from the fact I just got stuck in a fence, but whatever. AC2 fixed all the problems with the first one (mainly the fact there was no variety in the first one) and AC: Brotherhood just improves on the 2nd one by adding small gameplay tweaks, which is a good thing. Also while the game doesn't have the steadiest framerate ever, the PS3 versions of AC always had a worse fate. And the only time I notice bad framerate (and its still not an undesirable framerate, its not like its 10 fps or something) is when you're running through the town on the ground, which makes sense considering it has all the buildings as well as all the NPCs, lets face it, no game has a perfect framerate when its not locked to a certain FPS, there's always variable framerates. Re: No Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood Thread? - KorJax - 11-19-2010 Bah I wish my old roomate wasn't taking his 360 away with him tomorrow because school is totally going to be off for a month and I totally wanted to play this game over the break. Especailly since I love being a sneaky bastard assassin, and never played the first two. I know this may sound crazy, and I have no idea how I came up with this wild idea, but over the break, why don't you just play AC and/or ACII? I wasted my entire summer playing AC. Like, I was more addicted this this thing than I was during my one month with warcraft before I realized how boring and repetitious it was. I mean, I played it so much, I haven't touched it since. Animal Crossing's one hell of a drug.

Oh my god I laughed so fucking hard at this +1 On that note I played this at a friends house for a bit, it's AWESOME, even though I am terrible at it. And I already know the gist of the story especially since my friend explained some of the loose ends in AC2 to me. I just have this thing where I don't like playing old games in a series that have bad flaws in several ways when a newer game in the series is out that delivers a similar experience and fixes said flaws. It's weird I know. I just feel like I am wasting my time "grinding" through a style gameplay I know is done much better in something more current in the series even if I would end up spending less playing the older game. I can understand that for AC, but from what I hear they changed very little gameplay-wise between ACII and Brotherhood.
Whats the problem there?  Honestly, they fixed a few things that were annoying. For example, money has more long term use. |
