HDD shit the bed - Dtrain323i - 04-27-2011

Time to call seagate. I think I'm going to get a Solid State drive and boot off of that this time around.

You should have a 5 year warranty, take the advanced-RMA option.

retreaded tires are never a "good deal" no matter what the sale price is.

remanufactured means it was some other customer's warranty return before they slapped some new plastic on it and resold it.

Buy quality. It'll cost more up front, but a decent company will handle returns without a hassle. I like Seagate a lot but I don't buy their low tier drives.

The first one I bought was brand new. It died and I RMA'd it. I received a remanned one.

Oddly enough, the remanned drive lasted longer than the new one.

I bought a western digital and ill use whatever I get back from seagate as a backup drive.
