Soda thread (for babies who don't drink beer) - KarthXLR - 05-28-2011 Today I tried two soda's I've never heard of before. First is Sioux City Root Beer. While the bottle is promising, the actual soda is fairly poor. Too much carbonation and a fairly sour taste, not to mention a nasty aftertaste. Stay away from this Root Beer lovers, it's no good. Second bottle I tried was.....this: What an odd flavor...and I'm fairly sure there's more than one variation of this, so don't take my word for it. The one I had tasted strongly of fruit, maybe raspberry. I also tasted a hint of cream soda and some sour apple. Surprisingly tasty, especially with all the fizz that comes with it. Only downside is that the color of the drink is this nasty blue-ish green that looks like liquid fertilizer. Otherwise, gets a thumbs-up from me. All of Boylan's flavors are pretty good if you're into cane sugar. I think it comes primarily from the south (read Tennessee), but a friend of mine visited family and brought back a crate of this delicious cherry soda.
