Gonna be bored in Minnesota. Gaming notebook advice? - zaneyard - 11-28-2011 So unfortunately we're only going to work for like 10 hours a day. That leaves like 5 hours where I'm going to be bored as fuck. I'm thinking about buying a gaming notebook (I know, blasphemy) and I'm wondering what everyone suggests because I'm too lazy to do my own research right now. Possibly would like to play BF3 with my homies on it. Money is no limit because I'm rich bitch. Re: Gonna be bored in Minnesota. Gaming notebook advice? - Versus - 11-28-2011 obviously alienware Re: Gonna be bored in Minnesota. Gaming notebook advice? - Didzo - 11-28-2011 Alienware M11x r3. Both Kase and I have M11x netbooks. In addition to being able to run games, it also has fully customizable lighting (it can be as garish or subdued as you like), a nice soft-touch aluminum case, and good battery life (~5 hours for me, but that number has been improved with updated hardware) when you aren't gaming. I've never had any major issues with it and it's quick to boot and runs smoothly. It's a really nice toy. Re: Gonna be bored in Minnesota. Re: Gonna be bored in Minnesota. Gaming notebook advice? - Kirby - 12-03-2011 Fingerprint reader. I approve. I wish my Dell had a fingerprint reader on it, but meh. It's got the i3 so it wins over the Core2Duo with one. Re: Gonna be bored in Minnesota. Gaming notebook advice? - kaese - 12-03-2011 I like my Alienware, it's just a burden on my eyes when I try to read papers and stuff for hours because everything is so small. But it's nice for everything else and is super portable. My battery life for it on the lowest brightness and eco settings is about 6.5 hours. Re: Gonna be bored in Minnesota. Gaming notebook advice? - Eightball - 12-03-2011 I just bought the laptop that Vandam posted for my girlfriend. TF2 at high averages 30-40fps, on low averages 50-60 (1366x768). Most games don't lag much. |
