TF2 Text Issue - Sogo - 03-30-2012
For awhile I've been getting missing characters in text in TF2, normally Japanese characters Backfire uses in his names or other unsupported characters.
This hasn't been much of a problem until now, since I decided to set up a name/description for my Postal Pummeler with a name that includes is entirely unsupported characters.
The name shows up fine in any third party viewer, or even steam trading.

Anyone know how to fix this? Me and Backfire couldn't figure it out.

Did you install a hud? It sounds like you are using a font with out full Unicode support.

I haven't installed anything extra into TF2 other than maps, and Backfire gets the text on the item just fine in his game.
