I dont use my phone for more than like...Sudoku, I have a 3DS for gaming on the go.

That said I have coded one iOS game and am working on a second for android.

Kairosoft games are fairly entertaining if you're into the whole management genre (ex Game Dev Story). 10000000 (that's ten million) is a neat dungeon crawler puzzle thing that's very engaging, the sort of game you can feel your attention and focus going to work. Spelltower is a word game that I play from time to time but TBH has some design flaws which make the metagame dumb.

That's what I've got installed on my phone. I know it's not a "game" per se, but I also have lumosity on my ipad. A free membership gets me enough practice for between lectures.

Some of these I got from the Humble Android Bundle, but these are the games that I currently have on my phone (Android running Jelly Bean) that I consider good:
  • #sworcery
  • 100 Floors (fun little puzzle game)
  • Amazing Alex (Incredible Machine-like physics puzzle game)
  • Angry Birds (yes, it a fun little time waster)
  • Apparatus (another machine/physics puzzle game)
  • Cogs (moving tile puzzle game)
  • Dungeon Village (managment game with fantasy RPG setting)
  • Eufloria (simplified exploration/RTS game)
  • Game Dev Story (management game with game development setting)
  • Great Little War Game (Advanced Wars-like turn-based strategy)
  • Majesty (medieval fantasy city builder/RTS with different units, buildings, etc
  • Order Up (a simplified cooking sim that is however laden with ignorable micro transaction bait)
  • Rebuild (zombie apocalypse menu-based strategy/RPG)
  • Sim City Deluxe (Sim City with a few changes to make it more mobile-friendly and includes pre built scenarios)
  • Townsmen 6 (city builder/RTS set during the French Revolution)
  • Trainyard (path-based puzzle game)

I love Eufloria, but I figured everyone else would find it boring.

Re: Mobile Games Thread - spm201 - 11-15-2013

Vector, Plague Inc., and Bloons Tower Defense 5 are what I picked up when I got my Iphone. All pretty good. Fantastic Contraption 2 as well, if you feel like melting your brain a little bit.

There's plenty of what I call "Pooping Games" out there, the ones where you go into them when you have to take a shit and just tap a few things until you're done shitting and go on with your day.
Tiny Tower, Tiny Death Star (Same game different theme), Simpsons Tapped Out, and there are plenty of others.

But I do truly enjoy ingressing now.
