TF Tuesdays - 9/16/08 - More Homebrew - CaffeinePowered - 09-16-2008
Still won't be around as I'm still waiting on the replacement card Asus is so graciously giving me for free since my old one burned out almost two weeks ago. However, Exanimo has an alpha ready of the map he has been working on, ctf_godspeed, so lets give it a go and see how it plays.
ctf_godspeed_a1 - by Exanimo, screenshots look nice, despite being dev textures. Hopefully it will turn out good.
ctf_bankjob_b2 - looks very pretty, is also a fairly large download due to custom models, reviews state that it plays well
cp_arena_trains_b2 - for some reason I just like any map with trains in them (ref: freightyard)
cp_monkey_b3 - port of a tfc map, however unlike its counterpart, its cp instead of CTF, I think it looks fairly nice and think it might play well in a TF2 environment.
I will be trying the start FNF config, but for TFT tonight as well, since I have to specify a map, it will default to 2fort, first admin in please change it to the first map for tonight. I may or may not be around in case shit hits the fan and the server breaks.

Ran through Goodspeed. The preplaced sentries are neat, but I'm wondering... the one at the spawn has infinite health (can be sapped for an eternity until someone on the other team goes engie and whacks the sapper off
), and the ones near the intel don't, which is good, but they never come back. Should they be respawned when the intel is captured, or *can* they be respawned? I'm no map editor, so I don't know how that works. Also, it is a bit more claustrophobic than I thought it would be, but I'll see when there are other people playing it. Bankjob has some creative stuff in the center area
. Monkey seems no-nonsense and well-designed, but that's its pedigree I suppose. Cp_Arena_Trains seems small, and running through is difficult because the map thinks I win since I'm the only one there. ;_; Guess I gotta wait till tonight.

This also I got some purple checker textures on the signs and intel. And I think the med cabinet should be moved a bit, one of the doors goes through the wall.
