Iron On Transfer - Neptune - 03-04-2014

I bought a white work shirt that I'm going to use a transfer on.  When I went to buy some, it said "Do not wash fabric before hand".  I've washed the shirt once.

Any reason it would say that?  Or should I be OK?

Shrinkage/Material Integrity/Fiber Uniformity.

All new material used in clothing is starched to a varying degree. The starch serves to provide rigidity for cutting and stitching. Washing the starch out affects the three traits listed above; ergo it affects the viability of a clean, even, and durable transfer.

Interesting.  So, if I washed it once, is it OK?  Should I attempt to starch it?  Should I just get a new one?

Buy new. Attempting to starch now will be foiled by:

Thanks.  Glad I asked instead of wasting more money.  I'm also glad that this is my only real "crafting" for this particular costume.  Was able to buy everything else.

Not bad for not being crafty.  Oh, and, I spent way too much money on a mask.  It's fucking awesome, though.  Now, I just need a tool belt and I'm set.
