CS:GO Mega-useless-thread - Duck, Duck, Goose - 05-26-2014

So Eightball's gone ahead and gotten us a dedicated box for PUGs. It's probably dead unless we're all in Mumble organizing a game, but here's the info for future reference (memorize it!):

As far as I gathered last night, we get both drops and achievements, so if anyone wants to bother idling, go right ahead (you'll probably need an auto-move script to avoid AFK detect). It's probably not as worth it as it was back in TF2 though, considering there are caps to how many items you can get per week.

2 cases paid for themselves, not bad.

If they're password protected there's no purpose in "idling". Idling is to populate public services.

If you do intend to make it public, just remember, proper configuration of CS: GO Servers is annoying at best, a down right son of a bitch which needs it's rabies shots at worst.

Server won't ever be public, saving money with nfoservers that way. Haven't taken to idling for drops yet but next time a crate series comes out I'll be on it.

Current server goal: install sourcemod and see what fun stuff can be done with that.

Current personal goal: hit mg2 or get a candy apple glock, idk which one first

SourceMod is easy to set up, but get a handle on the fun configuration systems CS: Go has first.

Yea it's great when you get a good drop like that. I remember the first Huntsman case I opened I got a factory new Stattrak Bizon Antique and immediately sold it for $35. It gave me enough to buy the AWP Redline and M4 Asiimov.
