EU / US Server Problems? - Chooly - 03-19-2009 These are screenshots from my client (on my Mac partiton) for joining EU Saurfang. 1. At the top bar before you choose your character and under the name of your realm is a Change Realm button. 2. There is a list of servers in the area your realm is, you should notice tabs below the list, Oceanic being the one with Saurfang 3. Select Saurfang and click okay, you should be able to join the realm with no issues. Re: EU / US Server Problems? - ainmosni - 03-20-2009 I think you're using the wrong client, Oceanic is australia/east asia. You need the client from here. Click the trial link from there. BTW, the trial account is quite restricted as it doesn't let you join guilds, puts a level 20 cap on your ass and doesn't let you communicate freely. The battle runs quite hot between those two. Re: EU / US Server Problems? - Eschatos - 03-20-2009 So I hear there's some kinda referral program where people give codes out and if the person who gets the code signs up, the giver gets free WoW time. Anyone wish to use that with me? If not, I'll just get a regular trial. Yah the recruit a friend, I'd be up for that. Whisper me your email. Re: EU / US Server Problems? - Eschatos - 03-26-2009 Since I can't play with you guys, I just went ahead and started playing on American servers. Horde character on Black Rock, Alliance on Sen'jin. Re: EU / US Server Problems? - shani - 04-06-2009 did you guys tried to alter the config.wtf already?? SET checkAddonVersion "0" SET locale "enGB" SET portal "eu" SET realmList "eu.logon.worldofwarcraft.com" SET patchlist "eu.version.worldofwarcraft.com" if you change to this realm list and leave the patcher american you should be able to login only difference si that the client uses names like .engb or .enus so if you leave patch to us and realmlist to this one you might be able to pull it off. if that doesnt work i got a other idea that might work. Re: EU / US Server Problems? - Eschatos - 04-06-2009 Yes, that was the first thing I tried. American accounts don't work with European servers. Other idea plz? I think there is no other way... They both speak to a different account database, so the only way to get into european servers is to get a european account... The thing I was surprised by is that you can't reg a US-bought brick-and-mortar copy to a EU account...
