I was sitting in achievement idle on my box at home. sv_lan 0, heartbeat, and 73 seconds later I had 23 friends idling with me too!

How does that even work? You can't get unlocks while your in Spec, so you'd need to constantly jiggle your guy around, and so at that point why don't you just play the game?

achievement_idle has an internal timer to kill you every X seconds, so technically you never fully "idle"

idle'd in a server last night that only allowed spec (if u joined a team it kicked you). got 3 things but more importantly finally got my 1st cloak and dagger... Though for 6 hours of time logged into the server I only got 3-5 items, so maybe there is something to actually have + points etc. regardless it's a stupid system and will be until it's finished (unique drops and trading).Â
