CTF_Daylight_a1 - venguard - 06-06-2009

I got a few requests to turn CP_Daylight into a CTF map, so here it is

its an attack CTF map, flag is in the center of the map and you must bring it inside the enemy's base, The flag also heals and restores ammo to the holder and nearby team mates, to make it a bit easier to attack the base with the flag.

If this turns out not to play to well ill turn it back into a normal CTF map.
comments would be nice.

Huh, not sure why someone wants it to be CTF, especially when that makes my favourite part of the map mostly a non-factor (the mid-point).  But sure, ok.

Truthfully I never find CTF games fun personally.  It's always a massive turtle fest for both teams and there's never a way to actually do anything unless you go in with like 5 people and an uber, and by that time it's pretty much game over

True, but CTF is king for griefing. Want to annoy the shit out of people? Constantly stab snipers on 2 fort, or camp that grate when you enter bases on 2fort as Demo. Good times.

Okay, that's true.  Whenever I like to killtaunt sentries it's usually on a 2fort map.

this is why im am trying to change the mechanics of CTF game play, I can already see a big problem with the set up ctf_daylight has, so if what i think is gonna happen happens ill put forward capture points in each base which changes were the flag respawns

In my opinion this could be a sweet Arena mode map... sure for arena it could use some adjusting, but it sounds fun

A payload tug of war map, where you have to pick up the intel in the mid and take it to their base, while taking control points to move spawns up, while also being unable to respawn cause of the lameness of Arena?  Why not!
