FNF 2/12 - Why don't we play these more often? - Kirby - 02-11-2010

So in the middle of another dustbowl-goldrush-badwater-dustbowl-goldrush stint, Caff asks me if I want FNF.



Welcome to Kirby's 'Why don't we play these other maps more often!?' FNF!  ;D




Gonna keep it simple this time, 2 maps we have, one's an updated map and I'm trying a new one out. =D



First up is going be arena_starship, nice enclosed pwnfest that shouldn't lag everyone.

2nd up we're going to koth_basalt, we played this in a TFT or FNF once before, and it was an awesome map, but it's not dustbowl or goldrush so we never see it. =(

3rd on the agenda is vilepickle's new version of the awesome ctf_mercy, He made some changes to it and they look really sexy

Last but not least is cp_silo, looks like a fun 3 stage cp map with a twist on the end.

Eh, I'd rather do cp_starship.  Also, why is Basalt on the list?  It's on rotation.

I think Mercy is too, but they are still fun maps. Get pumped!  ;D

Only the CP version, the arena version works quite nicely actually, but I've just generally been too lazy to go back and make it into a KOTH map, and tbh I'm not entirely sure that it would play out as well as a KOTH map as it does in arena

It actually got onto quite a few servers that run arena maps, its just that mode isn't very popular :-P

Because basalt, regardless of being on rotation, is the 77th most played map on the server.

This was actually pretty close to my plan, too.  I'll try to be slightly coherent.
