Fun with Explosives (+in singleplayer) - DragonEkarus - 12-05-2010 POST YOUR BATSHIT INSANE RUNS WITH THE TNT HERE! AND BECAUSE I'M JUST THAT RIGHT KINDA CRAZY, HERE'S A FIVE PAGE COMIC (CAPS FTW! not really a comic FTL) (Spelling fail, spelling fail everywhere, thousands of them) Re: Fun with Explosives (+in singleplayer) - shoopfox - 12-05-2010 I think fixed water physics is my most wanted feature from minecraft outside of like a roguelike dungeon mode. Do them wrong and you could flood the map. Might just be better off assigning a water level and having it 'flood' to that level if there's natural water next to it Re: Fun with Explosives (+in singleplayer) - Duck, Duck, Goose - 12-05-2010 (12-05-2010, 09:58 AM)Ekarus Ryndren link Wrote:
The question is how do you do them properly?
I think he's saying it would only fill to match natural water if it were adjacent to it; isolated water wouldn't be affected. So, if I dig a pit next to the ocean, the pit fills to ocean level. If I dig a pit next to an underground lake, it rises only to match that lake. If I just dump bucket into a hole in the ground, that's that. Re: Fun with Explosives (+in singleplayer) - beep beep diglett - 12-06-2010 i like the game-y water physics as they are, i honestly dont even want to think of the cpu load dwarf fortress water would weigh on the game, especially with java and notches seeming inability to optimize his code Re: Fun with Explosives (+in singleplayer) - DragonEkarus - 12-06-2010 (12-06-2010, 01:37 PM)diglett link Wrote: i like the game-y water physics as they are, i honestly dont even want to think of the cpu load dwarf fortress water would weigh on the game, especially with java and notches seeming inability to optimize his code ...You make good point.....
My bloody PC would have exploded with the TNT. Optimize Minecraft and get it off Java and I'll make an explosion four times the size of this one, record it, and throw it on you-tube. Till then, my PC can't handle FRAPS and Minecraft very well. (Besides, you set off that much TNT and you get 1 FPS consistently for about a minute anyway) Re: Fun with Explosives (+in singleplayer) - Vandamguy - 12-08-2010 (12-08-2010, 06:33 AM)Ekarus Ryndren link Wrote:
-1 for not making a video.
