Re: IMPORTANT DISCOVERY! - Dave - 06-27-2008

Medic protip: the Sentry gun attacks the closest target, if you want your fatty to do ANY damage at all you have to run out first, keep running at the sentry, it will push you back but your pall will be gettign closer, if it stops pushing you and hits your pal then GET CLOSER, eventually your teammate will kill the sentry, also; the closest you can get to a sentry is ON TOP not next to it, but DO NOT JUMP unless your pall is right next to the sentry, or you will just get blown off, try gettign ontop of the sentry while its shooting your pall, once your on the sentry will focus on you, by that time your pall should have taken out the sentry

if not, get a new buddy, that fat fuck sucks.

Re: IMPORTANT DISCOVERY! - exanimo - 06-27-2008

I thought we did that already?

Re: IMPORTANT DISCOVERY! - CaffeinePowered - 06-28-2008

I tried that that day it came out, the pushback gets you usually before you can get the hadoken off Sad

Re: IMPORTANT DISCOVERY! - Wedge - 06-28-2008

At the rate a flamethrower takes down a sentry, it's pretty pointless anyways.  But funny.

Re: IMPORTANT DISCOVERY! - Fail Medic - 06-28-2008

Has someone mentioned or tested yet whether Hadoken stays lethal if you do the run-off-a-ledge-so-you-taunt-in-motion deal?  Sorry if this has come up already.

Never mind: I have a report just in from BRB'U Furry on the Street [WTF]Joel that the Hadoken can be done in-motion but it loses its lethality flag.

Re: IMPORTANT DISCOVERY! - Ceceil Felias - 06-29-2008

I actually was part of a test of the usability of a Hadouken on a sentry the day of the pyro grind. It was a coordinated effort between friends, though, and as the acting engineer (as I was done grinding), I put the sentry around the corner and a dispenser in front so it could be used as a brace.

It's amazing, really.

Also, I can't watch the Youtube from my laptop. It practically belongs in a museum, if not the Guinness Book of World Records for longest-surviving consumer laptop battery.

Re: IMPORTANT DISCOVERY! - cannedpeahes - 06-29-2008

Shit happens. I don't always get medics that know how to distract a sentry, and a lot of heavies just don't know that the principles of putting fire on a sentry.
