Map test - fyre - 07-02-2008 So...a couple of months ago I was working on a map, but I got bored of it and quit. I don't have to work the next few days so I thought I might try to resurrect it, and make it playable. But first, I'd like to try it out in it's current form, just to get an idea of whether it's worth working on. Time: ~7:00PM EST Wednesday Place: brb server #2 (Thanks duck ;D) Who: Everyone. At least enough people to rtv to it, since this is public. What: Informal test of ctf_foxbox, which can be found here or here. Re: Map test - Negate - 07-02-2008 You don't even need the rtv. Is it tonight? If it is I can just map change to it. Re: Map test - fyre - 07-02-2008 (07-02-2008, 01:41 PM)negate link Wrote: Is it tonight? Yea, shoulda made that clear. Re: Map test - fyre - 07-02-2008 I'm really stupid, I thought today was Thursday. : Anyway, it's tonight: Wednesday. Re: Map test - broonor - 07-02-2008 well done sir, will see you there Re: Map test - CaffeinePowered - 07-02-2008 Ill try to come out, did you put a bzp on the download FTP? FUCK THE GODDAMN MOTHERFUCKING SHITHEADED CUNTS THAT RUN MY POWER COMPANY. That is all. :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( Re: Map test - Versus - 07-02-2008 working on stuff and the power went out, or what? Re: Map test - CaffeinePowered - 07-02-2008 Turn down the bloom, like seriously Re: Map test - Versus - 07-02-2008 LOL yeah, bloom was insane. Re: Map test - Geoff - 07-02-2008 "I think this has more bloom than Fable." I thought the map was okay. I'd be more than happy to help you work on it. Re: Map test - copulatingduck - 07-03-2008 My biggest complaint was that the intel is ridiculously hard to defend as a single engineer. There's so much cover, and the room for the intel is so small that just about anyone can slip out with the intel fairly easily if they know where your sentry is. 2 engineers (one guarding left entrance to base, and one guarding the right) seem like they can hold things down fairly well. Inside the home base, the hallways are a bit too twisty/winding. Simplifying the layout would go a long way in removing some of people's confusion I think, but so would more playtime, so I guess that's your call. Other than that, BLOOM Re: Map test - fyre - 07-03-2008 Yea, the power went out 2 minutes after I joined the server, and didn't come back on until after 10PM. > I am aware that the lighting needs a lot of work. :-[ Lighting is hard, it took me a long time just to get it so you can see. I was thinking about making the intel room bigger, and a bit more open. Do you think that would help? Other than that, anyone have any ideas? I was thinking about maybe making another route to the intel, so it isn't quite so easy to lock down with a couple engys. Anyway, thanks for playing it. Wish I coulda been there.
