PAX 08'? - Wedge - 04-23-2008

Who's goin'?  I still need to figure out how/where the hell I'm staying there, but I got tickets.

Jus' wonderin' coz' I'm sure TF2 is gonna be in the PC Freeplay room.  Also, I need roommates or some such thing.

Re: PAX 08'? - Surf314 - 04-23-2008

I wish, me and my wife desperately want to go.  But this is a bad year for us to spend the money  :'(.

Re: PAX 08'? - CaffeinePowered - 04-23-2008

Too far, need to have shit in Chicago instead of opposite ends of the country, ect

Seriously I dont know why more of this stuff isnt held in Chicago or heck even Atlanta. You can get cheap ass air fares to either city from almost anywhere in the country due to the centralized location of both. Hold something on the east or west costs, and you effectively cut off half the country in travel costs.

Re: PAX 08'? - Kor - 04-23-2008

Lawls, 7000kms later.

Re: PAX 08'? - Tragic Hero - 04-23-2008

What Caf said...

It would be pretty sweet to go but I can't afford the trip nor do I have the time to take the time out to spend the time at PAX.  Time...

Atlanta = win.  5 hour drive from my house.

Re: PAX 08'? - ScottyGrayskull - 04-25-2008

Wusses. :p

I'm definitely going, and need to book my plane tickets soon-ish. No idea what my lodging plans are yet though. Some friends of mine are also going and said maybe I could stay with them, but I haven't heard anything on that for certain. If that falls through I'll definitely be looking for people to split a room with. ^_^

Re: PAX 08'? - The GHost - 05-02-2008

I'm definitely going. I'll be flying in directly from the UK with McSnow and possibly Wardrox and Phoenix Blood and staying at the Sheraton.

Why the UK?

I'm in Zambia for most of the summer teaching some nurses and doing some primary public healthcare stuff, so at the tail end I'm heading to London to vacation for a week before I head to PAX.

Hoorah!

Re: PAX 08'? - ScottyGrayskull - 08-25-2008

Since it's just around the corner... Smile

Afaik it's Wedge, Ghost, Aerox, and myself from here going, as well as anybody from dtoid that also comes here.

I do have another reason to bump this though: I'm in need of a place to stay for Sunday night. The friends I'm staying with over the weekend are leaving on Sunday and I'm not leaving until early Tuesday. I also asked on dtoid but figured I might as well ask here too. Fire me a PM if you have some spare space you don't mind sharing. ^_^

Re: PAX 08'? - Vongore - 08-25-2008

Earthquakes, wildfires, volcano's, etc...

Although I don't think it's that big of a deal up that high.  It's still expensive as fuck though, and not on the eastern side of the land  >Sad
