Culdcept Saga, is it any good? - Surf314 - 06-02-2008

I'm looking for a new game to play with the wife, and I was thinking of picking this up.

She's big on hack n' slash and action RPG's, hates traditional RPG's unless they have a good story.  In which case she loves to sit and watch me play (and tell me what to do).  But it looks like this one you can play co-op and the gameplay looked interesting.

YES IT IS GOOD.  However you need to play it against other players.  The computer is a cheating whore, and not fun to play against at all.

I've bought it and this is very, very true.  Asshole computer.  Anyone else have it?

also, also if she likes hack n' slashes, pick up overlord. Basically Pikmin except pure evil (or good if you want to be)

zomg yes, overlord is awesome.  No Co-op though.

Culdcept is an amazing game.

Plus, I think Saga lacks the Old Willow which I so hated from the previous game.

OMG we have a 360 now so I can finally get this game.

Who wants to play me?  My forest deck is full of rape.  So far at least.

Did they keep Kelpies?

Dunno, mudman can be OP in a forest deck though.  Unless you get a creature that has penetrate.  Those are like gods.

I remember hearing that Kelpie was still in.

But fire didn't deserve Old Willow.

Man I wish I had Saga.

Re: Culdcept Saga, is it any good? - shoopfox - 02-04-2009

Has anyone played it online yet? What's the experience like?

Re: Culdcept Saga, is it any good? - Surf314 - 02-04-2009

Oh shit, I have a kelpie.  But it has low health (30) so I never used it.  Although now I can see the strategy  ;D

Re: Culdcept Saga, is it any good? - chronomaster - 02-07-2009

I fucking hate the things. They're the reason I carry scrolls in my deck.

Except then people run shit like Magic Growth and Haste, and I'm all like, 'You're a dick' but then I just Plague and Punisher the field until everything dies.

Oh damn. My 'Everything Dies' book. Best book of 50 spells ever. Lap the board, Catastrophe (or Tempest, since Saga doesn't have it), Insect Swarm, repeat.
