How does a fox know what flamethrowers is? - Luca Shoal - 06-16-2008 Since rummy bitched, I'll make an intro :3. I'm Luca Shoal, or just Luca works. I'ma furry if the icon didn't make it obvious, and one of the first 3 (or 4) regular-type furries on the server (after Neonie, Hawtpawkit, and Wedge). I'm also to blame for Joel becoming a regular, and indirectly responsible for the server to be the unofficial home of [WTF]. I be a kitsune, or 3-tailed magical fox, and thus ends the furry stuff. In the world outside of furry, I'm 21 and nearly a graduate of The Art Institute of Pittsburgh where I've been studying Culinary Management. Once summer is over, that will end my 5 years of Culinary classes and I can start working towards my career goal of being a Personal Chef. I like to cook (obviously), read, game, and waste time on the internet or with my friends. If anyone needs/wants some cooking advice, feel free to ask. I'll end my intro with my current roster of systems I at least own (the NES doesn't work well). NES SNES Nintendo 64 (two of em, actually.) Game Boy Game Boy Pocket Game Boy Color GBA Nintendo DS Wii Obviously, I loves me some Nintendo. I want a 360 and a PS2, but don't really have the money for em. Oh, and of course I has my PC. I apologize if this into seems a little wonky. I got two of my wisdom teeth taken out this morning Re: How does a fox know what flamethrowers is? - Eschatos - 06-16-2008 You can be my personal chef any day. Re: How does a fox know what flamethrowers is? - copulatingduck - 06-16-2008 HAI LUCA! <3 <3 <3 Re: How does a fox know what flamethrowers is? - rumsfald - 06-16-2008 HAI. How did you come by your handle, Luca Shoal? (06-16-2008, 02:58 PM)Luca Shoal link Wrote: I be a kitsune, or 3-tailed magical fox, and thus ends the furry stuff. How come I never meet any non-magical furries? You know, the plain-old 1-tailed muskrat types that eat out of dumpsters. Everyone has to have extra limbs and be able to shape-shift and such. Customization is a big part of the fandom. Designing how your character looks, thinks, acts, personality, ect is where the fun in it lies. Just a normal anthro character can be quite boring. Though I don't believe Joel has any particular specialties, just a normal lemur. A common misconception is furry is a sexuality, which is entirely inaccurate, it's a fandom or hobby. Re: How does a fox know what flamethrowers is? - Surf314 - 06-16-2008 Wedge is a furry?!?!?! :o :o Re: How does a fox know what flamethrowers is? - Luca Shoal - 06-16-2008 (06-16-2008, 03:34 PM)rumsfald link Wrote: HAI. A little chat-type thing that was the precursor for Second Life called Furcadia. It was 2D and Isometric, with far less customization than SL. But yeah, I was an otter way back then (which leads to an injoke with a few Pittsburgh furrs). I needed a name for said otter, so my e-boyfriend at the time suggested Luca. It sounded good with the ocean-y sounding last name I picked, being Shoal. 2 - I used to be a normal fox. I just picked up the extra tails as an explanation for my little "hammer space", assuming you know the term. Convenience sake for roleplaying things really, that's all. I don't god-mod or really have any magic-y powers. 3 - Not for Joel >:C. Favorite to cook? Hmm, that's hard to answer honestly. I like a lot of things. So...I'll just list a few favorites. Risotto, Chicken Piccatta, Kiev, or Chausseur. A Spicy Thai Peanut Pork Loin recipe I made for a Girl Scout cookie competition, which I'd be happy to post for everyone :3. Fried Plantain, Caesar Salad, Banana's Foster, Creme Brulee, and Ice Cream. That's a very small list. It all depends on my mood really . Oh! And as for take out. Hmmm...Crab Rangoon or Chinese in general. It depends on what the place makes well. @Wedge - pay for my plane ticket and the food, and sure :3 Re: How does a fox know what flamethrowers is? - Vandamguy - 06-16-2008 hai luca my favourite person to play tf2 with WAO GOD Re: How does a fox know what flamethrowers is? - Luca Shoal - 06-16-2008 <3 you to Vandam :3 Re: How does a fox know what flamethrowers is? - Neonie - 06-16-2008 (06-16-2008, 04:02 PM)Surf314 link Wrote: Wedge is a furry?!?!?! :o :o No, not really. I'll explain first tho. The Art Institutes do a Girl Scout Cookie Competition every year when cookie time rolls around, to promote both the school, and the Girl Scouts. My school, AiP or Pittsburgh, was the school to introduce it. It's been going on for at least 5 years now I think, and the recipes are always awesome. MY recipe started out as a Rack of Lamb Persillade, or Lamb with Parsley. It's lamb that's been seared, coated with mustard, rolled in breadcrumbs and parsley, then baked til crisp. I made it in one of my classes, and it was delicious. I'd only made it that one time, and once at home, before making my recipe. I came in 5th out of 13 at the competition...and I never once practiced it EVER . I've only ever made it once since then for that matter. Also, one final note. You can replace the cookies with Nutter Butter cookies. And add a little more oil and soy sauce to the sauce as you see fit. It came out a little to dense for my tastes, so I fiddled with it mid-competition. The recipe is on the second page, and you'll learn my real name in the process . http://www.artinstitutes.edu/pittsburgh/news_calendar/GirlScoutCookieRecipes2007.pdf And for relevance, the final product from the competition. I made everything on the plate. I just didn't take the picture itself. All the pictures were taken by a girl from the Photography program. I has more pictures of my food if anyone is curious, both of this plate...and other things I've made. edit - the sauce there was made from leftover sauce-rub, fyi. I just mixed it with some chicken stock and corn starch to thicken it up, and give the pork some extra moisture.
