New sound card. - Riosan - 06-28-2008 As everyone here has most likely noticed, my sound card sucks. Even without my mic plugged in, I hear this faint white noise, right channel. It's really annoying when I try to talk to people, and all I get is "huh your mic sucks why i hear this beeeep". Right now, I only have an integrated Realtek ALC883. What do you all recommend? Something reasonably priced. Re: New sound card. - rumsfald - 06-28-2008 like any pci carD is inherently BETTER at eliminating the buzz and noise from onboard audio Re: New sound card. - Wedge - 06-28-2008 (06-28-2008, 09:31 AM)rumsfald link Wrote: like any pci care is inherently at eliminating the buzz and noise from onboard audio Posting while drunk? They have, like, this BOXFUL of Soundblaster Live cards for $10 apiece or something. Try picking up just an Audigy or something off Newegg. Something cheap and basic. Yeah, I know, I was thinking of picking up this, because it's right in my price range. People are pledging to never by creative again by the thousands because of creative's sub-par support for vista. And that's after a Creative fanboy modded older drivers to work for vista got sued and was forced to remove the drivers. If you use XP, you're golden. None of this 'soul of an impossible hybrid of a fantasy species and a feline I've never seen in person' shit.
