token anime thread - A. Crow - 06-28-2008

we have furry pr0n thread... this is a natural extension, if not a precursor.

Please, help crow by suggesting what he should watch next, as he has run out of fresh anime.  I'm looking for something on the long side, but first person to say Naruto, Inuyasha or DBZ gets added to autosmite list.

God those all suck so much, I can't believe they are making a live action Dragonball, gonna suck so much ass

Re: token anime thread - A. Crow - 06-28-2008

about the longest thing I found that wasn't the above 3 or sailor moon was You're Under Arrest, and I'd only give it about a 6 or 7 out of 10.

They should just make about 100 more episodes of GIS.

Has anyone seen desert punk?

Well thats your first problem chief.  Anyone who watches anime over reading the manga is just lazy.  Anime has so much filler and just wastes your time so much.

Watch Jekyll or Life on Mars. Oh wait, you say anime? I've never watched any anime. :-[ What's the one anime I should see if I've never seen any?  (Thread Hijack)

CURSE YOU!

Cowboy Bebop and FLCL.  Those are good places to start in general, without knowing exactly what you're going for.  Before someone says Neon Gensis Evangelion, you should probably be desensitized to irrelevant ani-banter and higher level philosophy first.

back to the question at hand Tongue

caff beat me to my edit, are the rebuilds done and out yet?  I remember hearing they were doing them and seeing trailers, but that was a bit ago.

I found the Full Metal Panic manga to be frame for frame with the anime...  I think they've only released manga for the Full Metal Panic content that has been released as anime anyways. If I could read kana I wouldn't be having this discussion.

Yes, #1 is out, shows the fights through the big cube angel, which was fucking amazing, much better than the original version

Re: token anime thread - Luinbariel - 06-28-2008

If you haven't touched this wonderful classic you should: Trigun, FTW.

It has a nice manga story arc that goes on after the main series as well... not LONG but not short either.

Trigun, fuck yea! Also, Cowboy Bebop is pretty good as well.

Re: token anime thread - ainmosni - 06-28-2008

Trigun is great, so is Cowboy Bebop.

My personal favourite is probably the first half of Death Note... god I love well written characters...

Re: token anime thread - cbre88x - 06-28-2008

I don't like a lot of anime, but I do like Full Metal Alchemist. I have all of the TV series on my hard drive (not by torrents).

Forrealz.

Divx videos have a very very easy way to record them and still get the exact same quality.

Desert Punk is one of the best series ever made.

Obligatory Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann post. Greatest anime series ever made, and best Gainax one ever made. It kicks the shit out of NGE.
