I am going to be a doing a complete reinstall of my computer sometime over the next week and i want to know if there is any chance of my achivements being reset for TF2.
if there is a chane, anyone know how to recover them or save them on a disk nefore i reinstall.

I'm pretty sure that's stored on the Steam servers, but if it makes you feel better you can take screen shots of them.

It's stored on Steam. Local copies of the stats are kept around the TF2 system folder, but that's just for your client to read.
As many times as I've reformatted, I have yet to lose progress on that. So, count me as Exhibit A.
