Tragic Hero Contest: It's all about smartz! - Tragic Hero - 08-27-2008

Don't ask why but I feel the need to give back to the community by having a little trivia contest.  The way this is going to work is that sometime tomorrow I will post a random trivia question.  Once I post said question, the first 10 people to answer correctly will go on to the next round.  Then the next 9, and so forth til there is only one person left.  Since all you have access to the interwebs and other sorts of media I can't stop any of you from looking up answers but of course knowing the question off the top of your head is going to help you out more.

The prize?  I will spend $50 on the lucky winner in the form of game(s) from either Steam or Xbox Live.  So say you just want something like the Medieval II Total war pack or perhaps mix and match a bunch of games to equal $50 that is up to you.

So stay tuned sometime tomorrow most likely during the mid day or evening for the question.

Edit:  PM me your answer once I post the question.  Then I will post the first 10 people to get it right and so forth.  If you happen to send me two answers you are Disqualified.

I might join to see how far I get.

Since I'm an internet nub, I won't get far.

You're going to have to make them good, the power of google is vast

Also I would suggest that people PM you on the forums, first person to post an answer, and then the next 9 people to quote that person is not a great contest  :Smile

Re: Tragic Hero Contest: It's all about smartz! - Vongore - 08-28-2008

Please do it via PM and a time limit, because if it starts, for example, at your 8 PM that would be like my 6 PM or 1 AM, and i'm busy at those times Sad

I play in a private game here http://my.funtrivia.com/ everyday.  You could probably set one up that way if you want something a little more fair (and Google-proof).

Nothing is google proof, not with iphones and 5 computers per room.

You're right, although I wasn't going to recommend someone waiting around for someone to answer and just quoting them.  If said person got it wrong then there goes their chance.  Instead of posting just PM me the answer to said question.  I would use IRC but I am barely on that thing anymore so this works out.

And really I don't mind people searching for the answer.  People might actually learn something from this.

And yeah I feel bad for the foreigners.  I won't try to post it too late within the evening to give some of you a chance.

Here comes Question 1:

Name the King that commanded the English in the battle of Agincourt and why was his victory so impressive?

Remember to give your answer to me in the form of a PM.  I will not count any answers that are posted here.  Also, if you submit more than one answer to me via PM you will be disqualified.

Good luck!

As long as you answer the parts I don't care how many words you put into it (although I am assuming most of you are going to google/wikipedia this one anyways).

Ok so they question has been up for a whole day.  The question was easy enough to search for quickly if you didn't know it off the top of your head so I am just going to take the names I have right now and go with it.

Here are your 6 participants in the second round:

Geoff
Eschatos
J-Master
Luca Shoal
Ainmosni
Peaches

I'll probably post the next question sometime tomorrow.  I got to think of a question that isn't too hard but can't really be searched for via internets.

The only reason I knew it was because a Henry V quote was in my flash movie for the ship  :Smile.
