Capture Card - Geoff - 10-01-2008

So guys.  I stole a capture card out of a computer I had, and stuck it in mine.  It's a Hauppauge Wintv PCI PVR II.  So, I suddenly had this revelation.  Let's hook the wii up to it!  So I found the dongle that allows you to plug the Red yella white video plugs into the card, and plugged the wii in.  So I installed the drivers for the card and what not, but I couldn't get anything to show up.  I tried Virtual Dub, and when I selected Wintv it said could not connect to selected driver.

Anyone know how to help?

D-Scaler

http://deinterlace.sourceforge.net/

did the same thing  you are doing with my ps2 a long time ago, used that program.
video is sketchy at best, and there's lag between button press and seeing it on screen

Ditto what Vandam said. I used to used D-Scaler to run my PS2 through a Nebula card. I remember the lag being negligible even then so I'm guessing (assuming it was due to fairly CPU intensive processing of the signal) it will be gone now.
