About the only reason I'd care about this is because it takes a standard SD card, so it might end up being exploited with just standard cheap media. Already have one R4, but wanted another DS Lite and another R4-type device later for multiplayer. This might end up being a decent alternative though.

Well, that might be ok, the GBA hardware is still part of the system, and if you can run GBA roms native from the SD Slot or something that'd be cool. Honestly I wouldn't really miss that part, the majority of good GBA games saw superior sequels on the DS by now anyways though (glaring exception being Metroid, naturally).

I would stick with mine, but the L and R buttons completely broke. I kept using it until they would not respond even after hitting them like 10 times.

saw this a while ago, I like the looks of it (even though it looks like a cross between an iphone and a ds IMO), but I wish there was a GBA slot.
slightly related: Does anybody know if it's even possible to use save-games with an EZflash 3in1 GBA adapter? I have an R4.

Only part of this that seems worthwhile is the bigger screen, since picture taking didn't work on the PSP I don't see anyone caring now.
Well I do see people caring but I don't see me caring because I have a camera and a DS.
