Mixtape Lovers Anonymous - Surf314 - 10-08-2008

I decided to make my wife some mixtapes after seeing Nick & Norah's infinite playlist.  As a music geek, I've made a couple before and they are pretty hard work.  I've also had some made for me.  It can be pretty fun.  I decided to go all out and make album covers for them, the first one I stole most of the artwork for (I can do some decent stuff if I can borrow enough from others) the other I used my horrendous drawing skills on.

Shuffle is a real man's mix.  Although I do enjoy my all Rush mixtape from time to time.  In all seriousness though I look forward to seeing what you've got.

Wife does not like Wolf Parade, confirmed.  Although I was going to try and slip it in if I could.

Typical. Mac users never know how to do any of the basic stuff.

I'll have you know I did both covers in GIMP.  And it's not exactly like I need to do this all the time.  Burning second then I'm switching to windows to see if its built in Vista.

Re: Mixtape Lovers Anonymous - Surf314 - 10-08-2008

OK I'm ripping now, it will lose all the track names but you have the playlist here.  Also I was going to host it in my public dropbox folder unless someone has a better suggestion.

And it's in WMA of course but I'm not even going to bother trying to fix it.  I put them in my dropbox folder so its syncing now.

Pass on them is brbu just as a precaution but most of these bands are unknown enough I think they care more about exposure.  Don't bother trying the links for an hour.

Re: Mixtape Lovers Anonymous - Surf314 - 10-08-2008

Hah hah hah, the last time I needed to rip an album not using iTunes it was using a program made by Jackie The Late Night Hacker.
