Undervolting a Laptop - [fr31ns]Karrde - 10-11-2008

Has anyone ever done this before?  I'm thinking of doing it to bring my temps down further and reduce overall strain on the computer.  This applies to the CPU.  Any good guides/experiences?

No experience, however, some laptops have a feature called 'speed stepping' that will automatically underclock a processor if its idle, then if you start to do things restore voltage to the CPU.

You might want to check if you have a power setup like this
