Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix - cbre88x - 12-18-2008

Is it worth it? It looks good, and sounds good, but does it play good? Anyone play it yet?

Re: Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix - NiceGuy - 12-18-2008

Plays as well as I remember.. if not better. The CPU hax though. But the online play is great. I only ran into slight lag once and I think it was because I was playing right after release so there may have been an influx of people trying to play all at once, bogging the servers down. But yeah, I'd say it's definitely worth the purchase. I have for the 360 right now but I may also purchase it for the PS3 so I can play against a few other BRBU peeps. Let me know which one you get it for, if you do.

Re: Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix - Scary Womanizing Pig Mask - 12-18-2008

I have on the PS3 and so far enjoy it. Graphics are gorgeous, but I can never get an online friends match going. PSN < Steam Tongue

Re: Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix - Squishy3 - 12-18-2008

I have some problems with it, but I should be playing a lot better come Christmas time. Niceguy, I am coming fo yo ass.

Re: Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix - cbre88x - 12-18-2008

I'll be getting it for the PS3 soon.

Re: Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix - Vongore - 12-18-2008

i want it for 360 :<

Re: Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix - ScottyGrayskull - 12-18-2008

I'll be getting it for the 360, but I'm waiting until I get a hori arcade stick. Fuck if I'm going to use the 360 gamepad.

Unfortunately North American stores won't be stocking the very nice PRO-EX one until February, so unless someone can convince me to buy (or be convinced to buy me) the probably-quite-good-but-not-nearly-as-good EX2 instead... Wink

I'm going to assume it's because points are worth different amounts in different regions, which is horseshit to begin with.

Re: Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix - Vongore - 12-19-2008

:<, so the only way is buying prepaid cards and telling me the code?

Now you know :3

Won't work. The points cards are region locked. I can't buy US points cards, which are cheaper (or where when the dollars were almost equal), and use them on my Canadian account. The code just won't work. Keep that in mind if you decide to buy points cards from an online site because nobody mentions that.

Re: Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix - Vongore - 12-19-2008

We use US card on Chile :3. We just change the console and account to the US and tadah, cheaper and USified points ready to go :3

We don't have Chilean cards, so the retailers at the begining started importing Mexican cards, but just like Mexico, they were crap (yay, countrysm). So they started importing US cards and they worked :3.

Well that's good. Although once you register an xbla account you can't change the country. You can change the country on the console, but that won't matter because the points get tied to the account.

Yep, my account is assigned to the US

Re: Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix - Squishy3 - 12-27-2008

edit: for those want a better d-pad for 360/ps3 and don't want to buy something extremely expensive, check out the madcatz SFIV controllers, looks like a saturn d-pad, which was amazing for fighting games. one of the head guys at capcom has been messing around with both the sticks and pads and can post impressions in january from what I understand.

this is the one I want, it's so sexy

edit: they're also pretty much identical between systems, aside from buttons

Re: Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix - Vongore - 12-28-2008

i- still want this gaym

Re: Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix - ScottyGrayskull - 12-29-2008

That pad does look pretty sweet, but I think I'm going to get the non-special edition stick:

Shame I gotta wait until end of February to get it. :S

Re: Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix - Squishy3 - 12-29-2008

Okay, this game is just so bad. When I repeatedly get thrown out of punching and kick animations that are up a character's ANUS, there's something wrong. SFIV better be 10000000x better than this.
