I just remember some really silly infomercials about getting a free laptop by signing up to be spammed into oblivion

If you are looking for something on the cheap Ebay is a good place to start, you might also want to look into things like the Asus EEE

I've seen something similar on SA. There are offers to receive a stipend to cover a console or a particular brand of electronic, but you have to jump through a bunch of trials first. Usually all the offers are goon-tested, so they kick back the ones that are easiest to go through to get what you want as quickly as possible.

It's only wireless when you are on batteries, otherwise you need to plug it in.
It currently doesn't have an OS on it, you would need to install something.


It was my first laptop, so it's a little dated.
