Microphone Troubles - Vlambo - 04-09-2009

Okay, I recently bought a new headset (Plantronic Audio 335), but when I ever I try to use it, it records both my voice and any other audio. If I was too say play TF2, and talk, it would pick up my voice, and the TF2 sounds. How the hell do I fix this?

no clue, but what OS are you using, that might be helpful to some.

A common cause for a problem like that...

Get to your Sound control panel deal, or better yet right-click on speaker icon in your system tray.  Vista?  Pick Recording Devices.  XP?  Get it to come up and then find Recording Devices in one of the menus.

The point is to find a list of things you can use to record and make sure Microphone is the only thing checked, and NOT "What U Hear" or "Analog Mix".

Right, guys?

In XP you want Stereo Mix muted if it's there.

edit: Pretty much what Fail said

Also stop speaking Canadian, because it confuses computers.
