I don't use UUs on my standard teams unless they serve a purpose that the rest of the team cannot. I personally run a Resttalk'ing SpDef-based Drapion to deal with things like Starmie and Gengar, AND remove Toxic Spikes. A lot of UUs are perfectly usable in OU, but most have some flaw that undermines usage overall. On my Trainer Card, that team emphasizes heavy offense, that is, just attacking on one side of the spectrum, and one side alone. Sure, most of it is walled by Skarmory, Hippowdon, and whatnot, but most people don't run more than one physical wall or tank, and I can sacrifice a sweeper at times to cripple something, send in another sweeper, kill it, then everyone has a party. And seeing how nothing runs special attacks, special walls are essentially dead weight. I am Orpheus. |
