So yea shits not letting me do things like update drivers and whatnots. Any tips?

Also I may need a new monitor - it wont let me go over 1280xwhatever  :'(

what's not letting you update driver?

Start -> Shut Down -> Switch User -> Log in as Administrator

I do recall if you set up windows update to be manual it disables getting drivers and only fetches "windows updates". You can check if that's this issue by checking these instructions.

I know its located some where in devices and printers... I don't have my computer handy so I can't tell you for sure.
